ABOUT US

The National Black Nurse Practitioner Association (NBNPA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN), primarily located in Houston, Texas. Since 2010, the NBNPA has been an essential part of Houston and its surrounding areas. We are “Nurse Practitioners on the Move.” In keeping with this motto, we are committed to the advancement of Nurse Practitioners and the improvement of healthcare disparities among underserved communities. Our mission is to empower the advancement of APRNs in their profession, foster social fellowship among members, and serve as a philanthropist in the community. The NBNPA is fortunate to have outstanding Advanced Practice Registered Nurse leaders within its organization that serves in a variety of professional settings.
